As the founder of Back Bay Fit, he has built a premier training facility that combines cutting-edge testing, personalized coaching, and high-performance training to help individuals unlock their best selves. With a background in engineering and business, Johnny brings a structured, analytical approach to fitness, emphasizing measurable progress and long-term sustainability.

Beyond his work in fitness, Johnny is deeply invested in bridging the gap between traditional healthcare and performance coaching, providing clients with comprehensive health assessments, including DEXA scans, VO2 max testing, and metabolic analysis. His expertise in strength and conditioning, combined with an unwavering commitment to helping high-achievers optimize their health, longevity, and resilience, makes him a trusted leader in the space.

Kyle Mahoney

Kyle Mahoney is a Sports Residency Trained Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is an Adjunct Professor of Physical Therapy at Northeastern University and Lab Instructor Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. In addition, Kyle serves as an advisor to Meloq, a return to sport device company that creates state of the art of force dynamometers and force plates. His Sports Physical Therapy Residency was completed at the University of Southern California, where he worked with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and acted as a Lead Strength Coach and Physical Therapist for East Los Angeles College. In addition, he served as the lead physical therapist for the 2019 United States World University Games team. Prior experiences also include internships at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, and EXOS in Phoenix, Arizona, where hundreds of professional athletes in the NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA receive sports medicine care. Kyle was a strength and conditioning coach intern from 2011-2015 for the Connecticut Huskies, including the National Champion Men’s Basketball program in 2014.

Dr. Rich Joseph

Dr. Rich Joseph, M.D., is a physician dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional healthcare and the fitness industry, creating a prevention-oriented, performance-focused model of care. A former strength and conditioning coach and lifelong athlete, he views movement as the most powerful medicine, inspiring his practice, Vitality in Motion (VIM). His holistic approach to health—shaped by personal struggles, patient interactions, and systemic challenges—encompasses physical, emotional, spiritual, and communal well-being. After earning his medical degree from Stanford School of Medicine and completing his Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, he committed to making exercise a primary prescription for longevity and performance. Dr. Joseph remains a lifelong learner, continuously refining his approach to empower individuals in their pursuit of optimal health and vitality.

Dr. Paul Heinzelmann

Dr. Paul” has been providing primary and urgent care services as a staff physician at Massachusetts General Hospital since 2005. He attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and the Harvard School of Public Health. In his practice he prefers a Lifestyle Medicine approach to care, whenever possible. Paul advocates for the appropriate use of medical screening tests and biomarkers to assess current health status, set baselines, and track progress in exercise-based and other lifestyle wellness programs.

Skylar

Skylar Griggs is a licensed registered dietitian and nutrition counselor specializing in pediatric and family nutrition, pre/post-natal care, eating disorders, weight management, and metabolic health. As a senior dietitian in the preventive cardiology division at Boston Children’s Hospital, she brings extensive experience in clinical and outpatient nutrition, having previously served as the lead dietitian at the Renfrew Center of New Jersey and Pediatric Plus Medical Group in New York.

Beyond clinical practice, Skylar is a lecturer, consultant, and media contributor, serving as the nutrition news contributor for Fox25 News Boston and a writer for Boston Magazine Online. She also provides corporate nutrition consulting and shares practical health insights through her blog, Newbury Street Nutrition®. Skylar holds a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, completed her dietetic fellowship at the Bronx VA Medical Center, and remains an active member of leading dietetic associations.

Allen Campbell

Chef Allen Campbell is widely known as a leader in the sports nutrition world. Most recently known as Tom Brady’s former personal chef, author of the TB12 Nutrition Manual as well as contributor to the TB12 Method and The Game of Eating Smart. Allen has popularized and revolutionized traditional culinary artistry by maximizing health benefits and sustainability.

Allen created AC Kitchen to be a resource for those looking to achieve maximum health while enjoying delicious, organic food. This unique, small-batch meal service provides a wide variety of seasonal recipes, all made to order from scratch and hand-delivered from Boston to NYC.
